The deep grooves and smooth roundness of perfectly ripe garden tomatoes catch and reflect light very juicily. Painting a variety of tomato compositions and taking 'artistic licence' with their colourful display was a lot of fun and I like the way the black background makes these colours dance right off the page (approx. 2 1/2" square).
