Quebec City... where fine restaurants (and even burger chains) are tucked into beautiful heritage buildings. Where jugglers, magicians and clowns amazingly 'get by' in a whole atlas-worth of languages. Where, well into the night, limited edition prints and original artworks are sold street-side and artists with studios made up of 2 chairs and an easel promise to capture your soul (or at least your physical likeness) in less than 30 minutes. And where, for more than one hundred years, the Chateau Frontenac has sat on the edge of Vieux-Quebec, looking out along the St. Lawrence River.

CHATEAU FRONTENAC is just one of a larger series of designs. The concept was inspired by a stitcher's search for Canadian landscape pieces that are small enough to be stitched into coasters.

I'd like to thank Jo G., of Westlock, Alberta, for pointing out that the most common, commercially available, coasters for cross-stitch provide openings that are no smaller than 3" wide. Please check your coaster size and, if this is the case, use a fabric that is NO LESS THAN 22-count (over 1).

FABRIC for Model: 32-count Ivory Jobelan from Wichelt (#862-44)... stitched over 2 threads (care will need to be taken with straight stitches if this piece is stitched on Aida)

THREADS REQUIRED: You will need no more than 1 skein each of... DMC 105/DMC 320/DMC 453/DMC 469/DMC 645/DMC 646/DMC 3364/DMC 3799 and DMC 3817 ... over-dyed thread is included in the chartpack.
