CROSS STITCH DESIGNS
Hockey Player
Designed to echo the Hockey Goalie, the Hockey Player has similar versatility... The package contains instructions that help you change the colour of his uniform to green, red, teal or turquoise. You can easily omit the background maple leaf or the small B/W 'photo'. A completion of this little 'photo' is also included, allowing you to stitch just that part of the design if you prefer.

This 'Hockey Player' was stitched by Dale C. of N.S. She chose to stitch him on 16-count Pewter Aida and went on to make several distinctive alterations to the original pattern. First, she made his skin a little lighter and then came up with a brilliant touch! The original pattern calls for the whole design to be stitched with a single strand of thread. Dale left the small black & white insert and the leaf as single strands but chose to stitch the blue and white figure with 2 strands - giving him a greater prominence in the piece.
Beautifully done, Dale!
