CROSS STITCH DESIGNS

Playing with my computer mouse, back in November 2000, I designed a small Abraham Lincoln piece... he became Liberty's left eye.

Finding a permanent home for the Declaration of Independence excerpt was a little more troublesome. It spent some time cruising up and down the left side of the design and at one point, although you can't see it in this scan, I considered placing it in the hollows of Liberty's crown.

In one aspect though the excerpt was very consistent. Right from the start, it was going to appear in a mustard-coloured box... ... ...

I enjoy how the greens in the copper work with the mustard box. However, you could easily change this colour to one that you prefer.

Here are a few options that you might like to consider - take care that whatever colour you select allows both the white and and the DMC 3799 cross-stitched words to be effectively displayed.
