Most small lakes have a serenity that's very beautiful and quite contagious. They provide a pleasant place to sit and read, to wait hopefully for a nibble on your hook or to just sit quietly and think. I hope that this tiny piece has captured those qualities.

This Miniature LAKE SCENE is just one of a larger series of designs. The concept was inspired by a stitcher's search for Canadian landscape pieces that are small enough to be stitched into coasters.

I'd like to thank Jo G., of Westlock, Alberta, for pointing out that the most common, commercially available coasters for cross-stitch provide openings that are no smaller than 3" wide. Please check your coaster size and, if this is the case, use a fabric that is NO LESS THAN 22-count (over 1).
